Snail slime (also known as snail mucin or filtrate) is one of my favorite ingredients in skincare products. After a trip to Seoul, South Korea, I was inundated with skin-softening products that advertised this peculiar ingredient. So I decided to take a deeper dive to understand what science--if any--backs the use of snail slime, captured in this easy-to-read infographic, below.
